My name is Loide Sibilia, I’m 56 years old, and I’m from Rotondi, in the province of Avellino. A small village of about 3,500 inhabitants, nestled at the foot of the Partenio, where every street exudes history and simplicity. It’s here that I grew up, in a modest but loving family. My father was a janitor at the local middle school, and my mother, the tireless heart of the family, worked at the tobacco factory. I was raised in the Christian faith and, from childhood, I attended the Evangelical Church of Rotondi, where I still belong, a constant presence that has accompanied me throughout my growth. My life has been a journey of small daily gestures, trials and triumphs, always illuminated by the light of faith. The testimonies I preserve and share in this book are not just personal memories: they are true generational blessings, bridges of wisdom and encouragement that span time, passing from my experience to that of those who come after me. Telling them therefore, means not only sharing memories, emotions, and values, but also leaving a spiritual legacy, a living testimony of the grace and guidance of God that have shaped my life.
